3. Becoming a Florida Resident
Generally you need to live in Florida at least 6 months and 1 day each year, have a Florida drivers license, and be registered to vote in Florida.***

4. Taxes in Florida
We have NO state Income tax, but do have Intangibles tax, which may be repealed. Consult your accountant or attorney about this.*
When you PURCHASE property, you pay Stamp Tax on the Mortgage (currently $0.35 per $100), IF you take out a mortgage in Florida..... When you SELL, you pay Stamp Tax on the Deed of $0.70 per $100. *
